WHITE DIAPERS ONLY

Washing Instructions

Wash Diapers in Luke Warm Water with 1/2 strength detergent.  Line or low tumble dry.

"What??  I thought I needed hot, hot water to get my diapers clean and smell free?"

This is simply not true.  Luke warm water and detergent will sufficiently clean your pocket diaper shells as long as you use a sufficient amount of detergent.  In pocket diapers the part that needs extra attention is actually the inserts.  Additionally, these diapers will with stand a small amount of bleach each month to extra sanitize your diapers.   We also recommend washing your diapers with full strength detergent every other week and rinsing until the water rinses clear.  These diapers have undergone extensive testing to insure this really does work for the trade off of a safer baby laminate and an affordable way to diaper your baby.

What is up with those washing instructions?

In an effort to find the most environmentally friendly and baby safe laminated fabric we have created a fabric that uses far less chemicals to bind the laminate to the outer fabric.  We have extensively tested this fabric in real life situations and have found that they wash beautifully in luke warm to cool  water and a low tumble dry. (or hang dry if you choose.)

What if I mess up and wash them on hot?

If you do this there is a likelihood that you could ruin the bond between your laminate and the outer fabric.  However, your diapers will still function as long as you do not tear the laminate once the bond has been broken.  We will not replace diapers in which the bond has been broken.  They are not ruined though! No worries, you can still stuff them and use them as a pocket (although stuffing might be a little harder) or they will fully function as a cover!

I did not wash them in hot but it looks like the bond may break, now what?

These diapers were made under the most environmentally friendly way possible, sometimes the bond will start to give even if washed properly, not to worry though, as long as you don't tear the laminate they will still function properly.
